Children at Worship Services
We believe that children are as much a part of the church family as adults, and therefore we encourage children to join us as we worship God and listen to his Word being taught. There is a Sunday school at 10am to prepare the children for the service in a way they can understand.
Your children may not be used to staying in for the whole service, but please encourage them and let them know that we love to have them! We love the energy that God has given to our children, and enjoy seeing it expressed. Stand on the chairs or come to the front if you can’t see.
During the hymn before the sermon, a quiz sheet is given out to the children to help them listen. Feel free to talk quietly with your children during the service: it’s always good to see parents explain things in a way that’s relevant to them. If you would like someone to sit with your children to help them, please speak to the people who welcomed you. We want to help in any way we can.
If you feel the need, there is a creche room where the service can be heard (also in the lounge). A supervised creche is available from the start of the service for babies and toddlers. Please ask the people at the door for directions. However, we want to encourage you to bring all of the children, babies and toddlers into the beginning of the service as we worship God together.
